Collograph Sunset no.2

Apparently both "collagraph" and "collograph" are correct in Google's eyes. Firefox says they're both wrong. dA says "collagraph". I still think of "collagreens" and wish I'd used them for this project.

I haven't actually made no. 1 or no. 3 yet. But something tells me this should be somewhere in the middle. The concept of having the shapes, lines, and textures taken care of already each time and being able to change the color for each is terribly exciting to me. What better thing to represent than the sky changing color?

For the record, the board looked like crap. And this was also my introduction to oil paint. I've been avoiding it because I've heard that once you start you can't go back. When I think of that I get a bit anxious. But the "Safety Dance" just started playing on Winamp so I've now been sufficiently distracted.
